Position: Study Coordinator Doctor

Reporting to:Principal Investigator
Position duties and responsibilities:
- Training
and management of study staff in Kisumu
- Supervision
of study site and data collection and analysis
- Oversight
of study ethical approval and human subjects protection
- Database
development and management
- Management
of study implementation in and around Kisumu
- Preparation
of research reports, abstracts, posters, and manuscripts
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s
degree in Medicine (MBChB) or
- Master’s
degree in Nursing (MScN) or Public Health (MPH)
- Minimum
of one year of research experience
- Demonstrated
ability to plan, lead, coordinate, and accomplish research activities
- Strong
analytic, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability
to work in a team environment
- Willingness
to reside in Kisumu and to work and travel throughout the surrounding
region
Desirable qualities, skills and abilities:
- Career
interest in HIV/STI research
- Registration
with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board (if applicable)
- Certification
in Human Subjects Protection and Good Clinical Practice
- Experience
with clinical trial research
- Familiarity
with study region
- Strong
writing and communication skills in English, Kiswahili and Dholuo
- Attention
to detail and good work ethic
- Ability
to work efficiently with minimal supervision
- Willingness
to work long hours when necessary
Expectations:
Full-time position
Position length is 21 months, provided good performance
Yearly contracts offered based on period in financial year
Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience
Based in Kisumu, with travel throughout the surrounding area as
needed
