Business Development with a leading and formidable force in Power Rental
delivery
Our client, a rapidly expanding provider of temporary power solutions already
well-established in the Middle East, is now directing its attention to Africa
as one of their high-profile targets for continued expansion with an African
growth strategy carrying top priority in the Group’s business mission.
An opportunity has been
created for an experienced and high-profile Technical Sales Executive to take
responsibility for the Group’s developing business interests in the East
African market and to grow the operations regionally to achieve recognition as
the market leader in power rental supply in the territory.
Based in Nairobi and
reporting to the General Manager: Business Development in Dubai, the successful
candidate must demonstrate a proven track record in all aspects of sales development
using recognised conceptual and practical methods and systems to identify
market opportunities, open dialogues, initiate negotiation of contracts at the
highest level and assist in the closing of multi-million dollar deals.
The incumbent will be an
assertive self-starter who has the ability to open doors and, ultimately, as
the business grows to assume the mantle of Sales Manager assembling a highly
competitive team of sales and operational professionals to extend the Group’s
area of influence.
The ideal individual,
preferably holding a technical degree in the electrical or mechanical fields,
will be able to offer 10 years’ postgraduate sales management experience gained
from formal sales training and the additional application of a recognised strategic
sales development programme geared to developing action plans and selling
solutions.
Previous experience of
sales within the power, energy or mining sectors is an essential prerequisite
for this role, as is the ability to converse fluently in Swahili.
At interview we will be
looking for excellent communication skills and that candidates possess both
clarity of thought and subject knowledge to ensure that the chosen individual
has the necessary understanding and grasp of the Group’s engineered solutions
and services which will make a difference when translated to live sales
situations and the translation into orders.
The appointment will
necessitate substantial travel throughout the region and as such the successful
applicant will need to be highly mobile and unencumbered.
