Duties and
Responsibilities
- receive
and count working cash at beginning and end of shift
- identify
customers, validate and cash checks
- accept
cash and checks for deposit and check accuracy of deposit slip
- process
cash withdrawals
- Perform
specialized tasks such as updating daily journals, attend to customers
diligently, and doing random checks on notes validity.
- perform
services for customers such as ordering bank cards and checks
- receive
and verify loan payments, shares payments and any other bill payments
- record
all transactions promptly, accurately and in compliance with Sacco
procedures
- balance
cash and checks in cash drawer at end of each shift
- answer
inquiries regarding checking and savings accounts and other bank related
products
- attempt
to resolve issues and problems with customer's accounts
- initiate
and open new accounts
- explain,
advise on and promote Sacco products and services to customers
Minimum Requirements
- Age
23 – 30 years;
- Diploma
or equivalent in cooperative management
- some
clerical, administrative, cash handling, sales or customer service
experience preferred
- Experience
in banking, Sacco, micro finance or similar work environment;
- KCSE
Grade C -;
- Proficiency
in computer skills;
- At
least 2 years’ relevant working experience;
- High
degree of integrity, a team player with effective communication skills;
- knowledge
of customer service principles
- on-the-job
training usually provided
Internal Audit Clerk
Reporting
to the Internal Auditor
Duties and
Responsibilities
- Works
hand in hand with audit assistant.
- Verifies
accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business
transactions recorded by other workers:
- Check
and verify data entered into the system on a daily basis to confirm its
validity and authenticity.
- Corrects
errors or lists discrepancies for adjustment.
- Keep
financial records complete, as well as computing and classifying
information for that purpose.
- Checks
for correct entry, proper codes and mathematical accuracy in loans
interest, penalties, and any other formulas affecting the institution’s
accounts.
- Prepare
trial balances of books, monitor the status of accounts and loans to make
sure payments are up-to-date, maintain inventory records and prepare
expense reports and purchase orders.
- Assist
the audit assistant in conducting checks in branches and transactions
verifications
- Any
other duties that may be assigned by the internal auditor.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor
Degree in Accounting/ Mathematics
- Minimum
experience 1 year in audit department or accounts department
- Experience
in an audit firm will be an added advantage
- Vast
knowledge in accounting systems, operating systems and controls
- Have
integrity and demonstrate good moral character.
Contract Sales Representatives

Duties and
Responsibilities
The
purpose of the role is to achieve quality business growth through membership
recruitment and product awareness.
The
responsibilities incorporate Marketing and Selling NRS Products to existing and
potential customers.
Key
Responsibilities
- New
Customer Acquisitions both asset and liability
- Generate
new business from existing customers in NRS Sacco
- Establish
new business relationships with Employees of Corporate, SMEs &
Institutional customers.
- Ensure
100% participation in product promotional activities, customer events and
scheduled product clinics.
- Promote
and extend the sales of NRS products to a defined market segment.
- To
consistently grow the loan book of NRS through personalized selling of NRS
products to potential members.
- To
provide accurate product related information to all NRS members (Potential
& Existing) to enable customers make an informed decision.
- To
sale assigned NRS products in a proper, professional and efficient manner
and ensure he/she does not do anything likely to impair or damage the
reputation or business of the society.
- Ensure
credit appraisals and recommendation for existing and prospective
customers under the various loan products are submitted to the appropriate
final approval authority within established turnaround times.
- Be
conversant with NRS policies and procedures pertaining to all NRS products
and services and be able to adapt to change in these as well as
technological changes and customer sophistication.
- Assist
in identifying customer needs not met by existing products and
implementation of new products and services.
- Keep
abreast of the rapid pace of product development to be able to sell new
products.
- Assist
in the organization and participate in Public relations activities and
sponsorships that aim to improve NRS Sacco brand image in the market.
