regional sales operational objectives by contributing regional sales
information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing

quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing
audits; identifying trends; determining regional sales system
improvements; implementing change.
- Meets
regional sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing
an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating
corrective actions.
- Establishes
sales objectives by creating a sales plan and quota for districts in
support of national objectives.
- Maintains
and expands customer base by counseling district sales representatives;
building and maintaining rapport with key customers; identifying new
customer opportunities.

Academic Qualification

- Credit
given to customers is monitored and controlled.

average payment terms in days. -
- Processing
and generating reminder letters and monthly statements. -
- Liaising
with accounts to resolve outstanding queries. E.g.: Credit note issues.
- Ensuring
all major accounts work agreed order to cash cycle
- Working
to strict monthly and annual collections target –

have finance experience

Export Manager (Forwarders)
Job Duties and responsibilities
Job Duties and responsibilities
- Export
manager will be responsible for all necessary documentation for the
exporting of goods. He/she must understand all government regulations,
foreign and domestic, for the shipping, packaging and transporting of
goods through all countries to their destination.
- He/she
shall coordinate export payments between clients, officials and government
agencies where necessary.
- Determine
the appropriate routing of goods, based on transit times, security needs
and the type of goods shipped.
- Responsible
for arranging consolidation of shipments with a common destination in
order to offer clients options on the prices of transportation.
- Advise
clients on port charges, freight costs, special documentation costs,
consular fees and the cost of insurance
- Track
loads and assist clients with information on transfers, time lines,
regulations and any other problems affecting their shipments. They will
reroute shipments for clients when necessary and offer storage facilities
until a shipment can continue to its destination.
Educational Requirements
- Ideally
bachelor’s degree in electrical/ mechanical engineering
- Diploma
in marketing or business management & administration
- Strong
problem solving skills based on an ability to analyze a situation based on
hard facts and figures, blended with a touch of creative thinking
- At
least 10 years’ experience in steel export.
- Experience
in a shipping or clearing and forwarding environment.
- Good
people management skills
- Computer
literacy including office applications, such as MS Office Word, Excel,
PowerPoint and Internet
- Ability
to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Key Competencies
- Knowledge
about export administration regulations as well as the international
traffic in arms regulations.
- The
export manager should be able to stay abreast with the changes in export
laws and regulations that impact on the operations of the organization.
- Conversant
with technological and regulatory details that relate to the job
