Job Title: Mechanical Technician

Company Profile:Our Client is a leading producer of self-adhesive printed labels

Main role: This position is responsible for the efficient and effective management, repairs and maintenance of all machinery and plant equipment in the flexography printing department.

Duties and responsibilities:

Ensuring through advice, monitoring and implementation that the company’s maintenance department policies and procedures are implemented consistently.
Regularly Servicing and maintenance of Flexo press printing machine
Maintenance, repairs oiling and greasing of printing, finishing & slitting machines
Treatment of machine cooling water
Regularly drawing water from compressed machine air pipes and air regulators.
Effective daily reporting of all machinery technical performance status.
Fabricate, erect, install and maintain facility machinery
Identify, troubleshooting areas and analyses maintenance deficiencies encountered.
Ensure that the working environment meets the specified hygiene standards by maintaining a hygienic work place and ensure that all health and safety requirements are met.
Ensure effective management of machine spare parts, stock movement and re-ordering level within the lead time.
Turn off and lock out machines when not in use.
Liaising with the production manager for any other responsibility that may be assigned from time to time.

Key skills:

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Good knowledge of printing or similar machines
Capable of carrying out maintenance services and schedules with little supervision.
At least 3 years of working in a busy production site.
Able to learn and work independently under pressure.
Proven record of previous employers
Experience in printing industry an added advantage.
