Background:
The Global Water Partnership (GWP) is a worldwide network which has since 1996 successfully been supporting countries in their efforts to implement a more equitable and sustainable management of their water resources.
The
network spans over 60 countries in 13 regions, with its secretariat located in
Stockholm, Sweden. For more information, visit www.gwpforum.org.
The Eastern Africa Region is one of the GWP networks established whose secretariat is located in Entebbe Uganda, hosted by Nile Basin Secretariat.
The Global
Water Partnership Eastern Africa Region (GWPEA) seeks to hire competent and
qualified men and women to fill the Regional Position with below details:
Position: Finance Officer (Regional Position)
Qualifications and Experience
- A
Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or any other related degree in
business studies from a recognised university
- Post
qualification experience of at least 7 years in accounting and financial
management.
- Professional
qualifications from any internationally recognised accountancy bodies
(e.g. CPA, ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CFPA, etc.) will be of added advantage.
Application procedures
This is a Regional position and the related appointment is on contract for a duration that will be for one (1) year starting with a 6-month probation period.
The work
station is Entebbe, Uganda, although work might necessitate trips to the other
GWP EnA countries and beyond. GWP EnA offers a competitive salary and benefits
package commensurate with the qualifications and relevant experience.
