Job Description
Duties and responsibilities
at this level will entail
- reviewing
and developing audit techniques and procedures for finances;
- carrying out
comprehensive audits assignments and investigations;
- drawing and
implementing audit programmes;
- issuing
audit report queries and observations, undertaking frequent and regular
audits to ensure compliance with approved management policies, procedures
and control systems;
- reviewing
and recommending sound internal financial control systems; and
- preparing
monthly, quarterly and annual audit reports.
Job Specifications
For appointment to this
grade a candidate must have:
(i) Part III of CPA (K) or
its approved equivalent qualification OR a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting,
Business, Finance or Commerce or any other relevant equivalent qualification
from a recognized institution;
(ii) Proficiency in
computer applications;
(iii) Served in a
comparable and relevant position for a minimum period of three (3) years in a
busy organization; and
(iv) Shown merit and
ability in work performance and results.
Certified Internal Auditor professional certificate will be an added advantage.
