Bayer CropScience is a division in Bayer East Africa, a
subsidiary of Bayer AG, and one of theworld’s leading innovative crop science
companies in the areas of crop protection, non-agricultural pest control, seeds
and traits, seeks to recruit qualified and experienced individual to fill the
following position:
Crop Manager - Floriculture
Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the Crop Manager will be
responsible for operational and strategic marketing for the Export Crops and
for the Fungicide portfolio by developing, implementing, monitoring, updating
and managing operational marketing campaigns and strategies for the relevant
crops and product portfolio as well as manage marketing budgets for this
business unit.
The position holder will also be responsible for annual
documentation of the objectives, strategy, actions and management of the
marketing budget for the relevant crops and product portfolio by means of Crop
and Product marketing plans.
The Crop Manager will ensure that marketing plans are executable
at the customer interface i.e. the bridge between planning and execution.
The Crop Manager will be responsible for core product assets and
planning, execution of new product development and product renewal within this
business unit, as well as activities to build pre-launch demand and ensure that
customer expectations are understood, built into launch plans and are satisfied
on execution of sales.
The Crop Manager will have a key focus on customer and
competitive insight, pricing, value propositions and brand strategies.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have strong experience in the
agriculture industry, a minimum of five (5) years, an appropriate university
degree.
The capacity to work seamlessly with cross functional teams and
the ability to communicate persuasively is essential.
Previous experience in floriculture industry will be a distinct
advantage.
