Specialist Nurses:
Reporting to the Charge Nurses, the specialist nurses will have the following key responsibilities amongst others:-
- Providing high
quality nursing care to both in and outpatients.
- Liaising with
Doctors and other care givers to ensure all round patient care.
- Utilising the
set clinical protocols to continuously improve the quality of nursing
care.
- Ensuring
complete documentation of patient records.
- Safeguarding
confidential information concerning patients and their treatment.
- Utilizing
infection control measures to provide a safe and suitable environment for
patients, staff and visitors.
Qualifications and Experience:
Critical Care Nurses:
REF: HRD/CCN/12/12
Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma
(KRN/KRM/KRCHN) from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Higher National
Diploma in Critical Care Nursing.
- Minimum two (2)
years critical care nursing experience.
Theatre Nurses:
REF: HRD/TN/12/12
Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma
(KRN/KRM/KRCHN) from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Higher National
Diploma in Theatre Nursing.
- Minimum two (2)
years theatre nursing experience.
Paediatric Nurses:
REF: HRD/PN/12/12
Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma
(KRN/KRM/KRCHN) from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Higher National
Diploma in Paediatric Nursing.
- Minimum two (2)
years paediatric nursing experience.
Neonatal Nurses:
REF: HRD/NN/12/12
Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma
(KRN/KRM/KRCHN) from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Higher National
Diploma in Neonatal Nursing.
- Minimum two (2)
years neonatal nursing experience.
Obstetrics Nurses:

Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma
(KRN/KRM) from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Minimum one (1)
year obstetrics nursing experience.
- Emergency
Nurses: REF: HRD/EN/12/12
Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma (KRN)
from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Bachelor of
Science in Nursing and/or KRM are an added advantage.
- Minimum three
(3) years emergency nursing experience.
Theatre Technicians:
REF: HRD/TT/12/12
Reporting to the Charge Nurse - Theatre, the successful candidates will be responsible for the following
amongst others:
- Cleaning the
operating room.
- Availing the
correct operative table with the necessary accessories during an
operation.
- Assisting in
positioning patients before, during and after surgery.
- Ensuring that
the operating lights and air conditioner are regulated and working.
- Preparing
theatre machines for surgeries.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- KCSE mean score
of C-.
- Certificate in
Anaesthetic Theatre technician.
- Two years
theatre work experience.
- Good
communication skills.
- Quick learner.
