Store Keeper
A small hardware in Nakuru, dealing in building tiles and other interior decorations is currently looking for a store keeper to assist in managing its stock.
The incumbent will be expected to:-
- Maintain
stock balances on a designated data storage system.
- Controls
inventory levels by conducting physical counts and reconciling with data
storage system.
- Print out a
daily stock report and hand it over to the sales people every morning
detailing the goods available in stock.
- Inform
management about required stock in such a reasonable time so as to ensure
there are no stock outs.
- Be aware and
cross check incoming stock to ensure that the codes and quantities are as
indicated in the delivery notes.
- Be on the
lookout for any breakages in the incoming stock. Management and the
suppliers should be immediately informed in the event of any breakages.
- Indicate any
changes in the product codes if any with respect to customer’s needs.
- Ensure that
only available stock is on display every morning.
- Note any
dead stock and put it on offer in consultation with management.
- Inform the
management of the fast moving stock
Qualifications:-
- A diploma in
purchases and supply chain management preferable
- 1 – 2 years
work experience
- Experience
using an ERP system will be an added advantage.
Salary: 15 – 20k
