Saferworld is an independent non-governmental organisation that works to prevent and reduce violent conflict and promote cooperative approaches to security. We believe that everyone should be able to lead peaceful and rewarding lives free from insecurity and violence.
 

The main focus of this role is to support implementation of Saferworld’s Kenya Programme and activities on security and justice, governance and peacebuilding and small arms control. The incumbent will be expected to undertake thorough conflict analysis, build scenarios and provide timely information that will inform actions by relevant policy decision makers.
 

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level and have a minimum of two years’ experience of working on peace or security issues. S/he will have a demonstrable experience of project administration, planning and programming. Excellent written and spoken English and Swahili are essential.
