Job Description
Job Description
Earlier this year, we opened our first maternity hospital just off Thika Road on the Eastern Bypass before Ruiru.
In the
coming months, Jacaranda will expand substantially, adding new facilities and
services as well as refining our current systems.
To achieve these goals, we will need support in a range of areas. We seek candidates for Project Associate roles across several departments:
- Growth and
expansion: researching new locations for Jacaranda’s growth, searching for
suitable properties, negotiating with landlords and property managers, and
overseeing elements of construction / other setup
- Sales and
marketing: testing new sales strategies, developing new marketing
materials, etc.
- Service
offerings and clinical operations: researching the demand for new
services, benchmarking against other providers, collecting information
about how we can refine our operations, etc.
We are
open to candidates with a range of different experiences and qualifications.
Key
skills required include:
- Project
management: able to develop the key objectives to be achieved in a
project, and assign realistic timelines to these steps
- External
communications: able to represent Jacaranda to external audiences (e.g., property
managers, government stakeholders, community leaders) and convey our
objectives and needs effectively
- Data gathering:
able to compile key information from other health facilities, clients, and
other sources and summarize for Jacaranda management
Successful
candidates will need to have multiple skill sets and wear many hats.
We need
individuals who are passionate about maternal health care, excited about
working in the community, and can work independently with minimal supervision.
This position will be a consultancy or short term contract, with the possibility of converting to longer-term employment.
Depending
