established African food and local dishes restaurant located in Nairobi CBD
desires to hire the following staff:
A) Head Chef
Qualifications
Possess
a diploma/degree in Food Production and culinary arts or equivalent from a
recognized training institution;
Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinating
kitchen staff operation and organizing communication of all outlets in
order to provide effective production of high quality products according
to business trends.
- Improving
operation standards and implementing new food technologies and working at
food saving and preserving tangible effects.
- Providing a wide
range of dishes and broad assortment of products, variety of menus,
up-to-date concepts of food preparation and decoration based on customer
demand analysis.
B) Assistant Chef
Qualifications
- Possess a
diploma in Food Production and culinary arts or equivalent from a
recognized training institution;
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assisting the
chef in achieving best quality in food production.
- Assisting the
chef to carry out control of product quality, food preparation technology,
and raw food product laying norms. Sharing responsibility for quality of
prefabricates and food produced by the kitchen with the head Chef.
- Helping the head
Chef organize and conduct training for cooking methods and support the
training of kitchen personnel.
C) Restaurant Assistant Manager
We are
looking for an efficient candidate to join our team as the Restaurant Assistant
Manager responsible for the successful planning, organization and
coordination of all Food & Beverage activities in their designated
outlet.
The
successful applicant will report to the restaurant Manager and supervise a
service team, ensuring that they are trained to deliver high standards of guest
service.
Qualifications:
- Kenya
Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or equivalent
- Diploma in Food
and Beverage Service from a recognized institution.
- Diploma in a
business related course.
D) Supervisors
Qualifications:
- Kenya
Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or equivalent
- Certificate in
Food and Beverage Service
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible
for ensuring the provision of Food and Beverage service to guest satisfaction
and maximization
of food and beverages sales revenue.

position involves making recommendations to the Manager on operational issues.
E) Waiters/Waitresses
As a
Waiter/Waitress, you will ensure that the highest standards of hospitality are
demonstrated at all times in the restaurant.
Your
key responsibilities will include building rapport and a sense of personalized
service to guests.
You
will have a good knowledge of Food and Beverage products and will pass this
information on to the guest whenever the possibility arises, in order to
maximize the restaurant sales.

- Must be a team
player
NB: All applications for all positions must have the following
qualifications
- Computer
literate with minimum of certificate in computer packages of word
processing and spreadsheets.
- Have a minimum
of 3 years working experience in similar position in a busy institution,
preferably in a 3 star hotel.
- Possess a valid
Food Handlers certificate
- Have excellent
communication skills /Have good customer care and public relations skills
and be a team player.
- Ability to work
under pressure.
