Plant Manager, Procurement Officer, Extension Officer and Loan Officer


Olkalou Dairy Company Ltd is newly established farmer owned Dairy Company with over 6,000 shareholders spread in Nyandarua. 

The company has chilling plants in -Olkalou and Tumaini. 

As part of its growth strategy, the Company seeks to recruit the following staff:-

1. Plant Manager
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in any business related degree. Those candidates with degrees in Accounting/Finance/Marketing, Agricultural economics, and Dairy technology will be considered.
  • Over 3 years’ experience in managing cooling plants or management experience in a related field in the dairy industry will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal and accounting skills
  • Drive commitment and other entrepreneurial skills
2. Procurement Officer
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing and Supplies Management from a recognized institution, plus a Diploma in Purchasing and Supplies Management.
  • Familiarity with the Public Procurement and Disposals Act, 2005.
  • Experience of 4 years and above in a related field in a relevant position
3. Extension Officer
 
Qualifications
  • Have a degree in Bachelor of science in Animal Production and Nutrition
  • Experience of 3 years and above in extension field. Specialty in looking at milk quality issues; in particular Mastitis and hygiene concerns.
  • Meeting and working with farmers ,associated organizations and discussion with groups who meet on a regular basis
  • Have demonstrated success in animal Production and Nutrition Services.
4. Loan Officer
 
Qualifications
  • Diploma in co-operative management, Business Administration, C.P.A. II or equivalent
  • Three years relevant experience
  • Good human and public relations
  • Knowledge in Marketing Management
  • Team player with proactive personality
  • Good communications, business development and interpersonal skills
Mandatory requirement
  • Proficiency of computer application packages.
  • Age over 30 years.
