1. Regulatory Manager - Kenya
1 Position
Role purpose
- Obtain,
extend and maintain the license to operate- (registrations) for the
company in the Commercial Unit to specifications, on time and in line with
the business strategy.
Job Profile & Accountabilities
- Coordinate,
plan & report on all regulatory activities including regulatory trials
and product registration renewals in a timely manner. Align the plans with
commercial plans and priorities while acting as advisor to the business on
fit of new projects with regulatory requirements and trends.
- Compile the
necessary regulatory dossiers, information, data that meets PCPB, KEPHIS
requirements to support product registrations, renewals and extension
Manage and lead in product stewardship in both Crop Protection and Seeds
and take ownership in providing current on time information to the team.
- Ensure
product write up (labels, pamphlets, postersetc.) meet Kenyan and company
set standards.
- Cultivate
and maintain good relationships with local regulatory authorities,
government agencies, local industry associations, and stakeholders for
registration processes and legislations.
- Develop and
interact with an external network of key influencers to support the
business Regulatory, certification and marketing bodies.
- Proactively
provide Stewardship and regulatory support in case of questions, problems
and legislation issues (MRLs, GLOBAL GAP).
- Ensure
cross-functional cooperation within the Kenya business and regional teams,
Link to European & Global Regulatory teams.
Critical Knowledge& Experience
- Degree in
Agriculture or relevant technical qualification.
- Good
knowledge of regulatory requirements and trends in Kenya.
- Direct
experience in regulatory affairs gained through 2 or more years will be an
added advantage.
- Demonstrated
strengths in communication, self-organization and problem solving.
- Developed
negotiation/influencing skills across different cultures.
- Good level
of business understanding & competence including Commercial exposure.
- Drive for
results

2. Field Supervisor
2 Positions
Role purpose
- To define
and lead the agreed company market offers and deliver according to
business targets through the effective management and supervision offield
teams, farmers and retailers with an aim to ensure effective ‘push-pull’
balance.
Job Profile & Accountabilities
- Develop and
implement agreed sales plans, targets and budgets in accordance with the
country strategy and objectives.
- Brand
ambassador at the farm gate and ensure growers understanding are enhanced
and work closely with technical and commercial teams to ensure appropriate
customer touch and appropriate services are defined and delivered while
achieving the desired positioning.
- Keep abreast
with market trends, pricing and competition activities, giving regular
information as changes come.
- Provide the
grower with advice on the safe use & handling of pesticides, while
providing accurate & appropriate recommendations in an ethical manner
to farmers, to help them achieve best return on investment.
- Manage and
update of growers, influencers & channel information and regular
provision to Marketing Services and regular feedback of sales strategy
progress and adaptation to environment.
Critical Knowledge& Experience
- Degree in
Agriculture or in an agricultural related field with 3 years field
experience will be an added advantage.
- Sound
technical knowledge in agronomy and seeds.
- Good
understanding of local agricultural practices and sales environment
In-depth understanding of the vegetable seeds landscape in Kenya.
- Exhibit a
deep understanding of Small scale farmers and groups networking trends in
Kenya.

writing, oral and presentation skills.
- Team work,
interpersonal skills, credibility and confidence in dealing with all
levels of team members.

3. Field Promoters
6 Positions
Role purpose
- To promote
the company’s offer in specified key areas & locations within Kenya;
carry out crop demonstrations and farmer trainings; and product
promotional campaigns to optimise sales in the area.
Job Profile
- Implement
agreed demonstration / farmer training/promotion plans within specified
timeframe.
- Operate
effectively with minimum supervision.
- Provide
accurate & appropriate recommendations in an ethical manner, in order
that the growers achieve best return on investment.
- Provide the
grower & stockist with advice on the benefits, safe use & handling
of company product offers
- Ensure key
information about growers, stockists is collected and provided.
- Provide
regular feedback on progress and success of
demonstrations,trainings;propose any changes that suit the promotion
environment at any one period.
- Defend and
promote the image of the company including representing the company in a
professional and competent manner.
Critical Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- An
agricultural related Degree/diploma/or agricultural based certificate
accompanied with over 2 years hands on experience.
- Must be a
mobilizer with ability to organise and carry out demos.
- Must be
profficient in English & Kiswahili langauges.
- Self-motivated
and able to work with minimum supervision.
- Good
presentation skills for group sessions.
