Head, Custodial Services
Job Summary
Reporting to the Director Co-operatives Banking Division, the job-holder will be responsible for executing the Custodial Services strategy, enhance business growth, drive initiatives that enhance client relationships and ensure operational efficiency and service delivery.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and
drive the Custodial Services Strategy
- Provide
leadership, develop and motivate the team members
- Provide
consistently high quality sales, marketing and client relationships
- Provide a
readily available, service-focused, knowledgeable and experienced point of
contact for new and existing customers
- Drive the
financial & business growth targets for Custodial Services
- Grow the Bank’s
market share in Custodial Services
- Develop and
manage Custodial Services strategic partnerships
- Maintain a high
level of integrity and ethical standards commensurate with the
requirements of market best practice
- Ensure provision
of high quality, cost effective service and continuously improve service
offerings
- Manage and
mitigate risks associated with Custodial Services
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s
degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing or related field of study
- Masters degree
in a relevant field
- Custody Certification
- Basic knowledge
of Accounting/Finance
- Registered
member of a recognized professional body
- Knowledge in the
Financial Markets
- A minimum of 6
years exposure in the Custodial Services

Manager, Cost Management
Job Summary
Reporting to the Director, Finance & Administration Division, the job-holder will champion management of costs, review various expenditure lines and give alternative ways of doing the same that will be more efficient and optimize costs.
In
addition, the incumbent will provide relevant business and industry analysis to
assist/evaluate performance of business.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- In-depth
analysis of key drivers of costs and identify strategies manage costs
- Undertake site
performance analysis and identify areas that need to change
- Drive all cost
management initiatives from various business units
- Ensure ROI for
all assets/ investment categories are properly defined and enhanced to
drive returns for capital investments
- Prepare monthly
cost reports and understand causes of variances against envisaged project
benefits and propose remedial actions
- Assist project
owners in economically evaluating the business benefits of new projects
- Ensure that all
Business cases are properly validated on a timely basis
- Manage and track
post project implementation to ensure returns as anticipated during
project formulation are achieved
- Proactively
consider business’ revenue potential, identify any variance and recommend
remedial action
- Periodically
evaluate the various performance measurement processes and suggest any
improvements
- Contribute to
the budgeting process and ensure that all Divisions are held accountable
for costs/initiatives
- Develop and
maintain partnerships with internal management stakeholders
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s
degree in Finance/Commerce and CPA (K)
- MBA /CFA will be
an added advantage
- Registered
member of a recognized professional body(ies)
- Knowledge in
Cost Management structures
- Good Computer
skills
- A minimum of
four (4) years experience in Cost Management/Business Performance Analysis
at a senior level

carry out re-engineering of all processes across the bank as assigned from

with business areas to re-examine their current systems and operations,

- Work closely
with ICT teams in projects management to ensure timely technical changes
execution within set standards.
- Continuously
review, guide and improve all operational processes risks and controls.
- Proactively
analyze the existing and upcoming regulatory requirements / directives,
identify the requisite changes to be effected for compliance.
- Continuously
research and integrate best practices into the bank’s project management.
- Assess the
effectiveness of human capital, processes, policies and systems with a
view of identifying opportunities for improvement through planned business
process re-engineering exercises to improve on overall performance.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s of
Science degree or any related Technical field from a recognized university
- Good project
management and co-ordination skills (relevant course will be an added
advantage)
- Prince 2
certification will be an added advantage
- Minimum of three
years working experience in a Business change environment in any field
- Excellent ICT
skills
- Good execution
skills
- Age 35 years and
below.
