Our client, Distell Winemasters (Kenya) is looking for a
passionate and dynamic person to fill the position of Production Manager reporting to the General
Manager.
Key Performance areas:
- Responsible for
attainment and adherence to production plan.
- Effectively plan
and manage inbound supply chain.
- Ensure reduction
in re-works, re-processing and unplanned downtime.
- Ensure improved
production efficiencies (ex OEE).
- Responsible for
plan and control departmental budget.
- Responsible for
maintenance plan, P&M and efficient asset utilisation.
- Management of
quality systems relating to production.
- Ensure
compliance to all health, safety and risk management policies and
procedures.
- Develop and
implement annual departmental business plans.
- Maintain sound
industrial and employee relations.
- Drive continuous
improvement projects.
- People
management which includes career and development.
- Compliance to
Distell quality management system (IFSIBRC/ISO).
- Actively
participate in daily and weekly management meetings.
Person Profile
- A recognized
tertiary qualification in a relevant field will be highly recommended
(e.g. B. Sc Production Engineering).
- 3 - 5 years’
experience within a fast moving consumable goods environment and/or
applicable qualification.
- Good analytical
skills and the ability to interpret financial and statistical data
accurately.
- Strong
leadership capabilities and ability to manage people with diverse
backgrounds.
- Strong
interpersonal and persuasive skills to ensure task completion.
- Sound knowledge
in Industrial Relations practices and experience in handling disciplinary
matters.
- Good verbal and
written communication skills.
- Competent in the
use of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Reliability,
flexibility and ability to perform under pressure.
