Senior Lecturer
Department Of Political Science & Public Administration -2
Posts- AC/6/237/12–(R&T)
Applicants must be holders of a PhD degree in Political Science from a recognized university.
- They
must demonstrate competence in teaching and research in at least two of
the following sub fields of Political Science:- Comparative Politics,
International Relations, Public Administration , Political Economy,
Political Sociology and Political Theory.
- They
should have at least five (5) years teaching experience at both
undergraduate and post graduate degree levels and must have supervised at
least three (3) Masters Students to completion.
- They
must have experience in research as evidenced by publications in refereed
journals.
- In
addition, they should have at least four (4) publications in refereed
journals or two (2) publications in refereed journals and two (2) chapters
in scholarly books since last promotion.
- The
successful candidates will be expected to teach and supervise at both undergraduate
and postgraduate students and undertake research in their areas of
specialization.
Lecturer
Department Of Ophthalmology- 2 Posts- AC/6/238/12- (CHS)
- Applicants
must be holders of an MBChB degree or its equivalent plus a Master of
Medicine degree in Ophthalmology or its equivalent from a recognized
university and have at least three (3) years teaching experience at
University level.
- They
should have research experience, with at least two (2) publications in
refereed journals or two chapters in scholarly books.
- They
should show evidence of continuing research activity.
- They
should be registered with the Kenya Medical Practitioners’ & Dentists
Board.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach and supervise at both undergraduate and postgraduate students and undertake further research in their areas of specialization. - They
will also be expected to participate in Departmental/Faculty/ College
matters.
Lecturer
School Of Law (Kisumu Campus)- 1 Post- AC/6/239/12- (CHSS)
Applicants must be holders of a PHD degree in Law from a recognized university.
- Those
with a Masters degree in the filed of Law from a recognized university and
have at least three (3) years teaching experience at University level and
have registered for a PhD degree will also be considered.
- They
should have research experience, with at least two (2) publications in
refereed journals or two chapters in scholarly books.
- They
should show evidence of continuing research activity.
- The
successful candidate will be expected to teach and supervise at both
undergraduate and postgraduate students and undertake further research in
their areas of specialization.
- They
will also be expected to participate in Departmental/Faculty/ College
matters.
Tutorial Fellow
Department Of Land Resource Management And Agricultural
Technology (Larmat)– 1 Post- AC/6/240/12- (CAVS)
- Applicant
must have at least a Master of Science degree in Wildlife Management,
Wildlife Biology, Wildlife Ecology or related field.
- In
addition, applicants must show evidence of PhD registration in a
recognized university also show evidence of on-going research work.
- Besides
pursuing their PhD research, the successful candidate will be expected to
teach few courses in his/her area of specialization.
- They
will also be expected to participate in all pertinent departmental,
faculty and college activities.
Graduate Assistant
Department Of Chemistry- 1 Post- AC/6/241/12/-(CBPS)
- Applicants
must be holders of a Masters degree in Chemistry from a recognized
university.
- In
addition, they are expected to prepare a PHD proposal in Chemistry and be
registered not later than one (1) year after appointment.
Senior Technologist
Grade DEF, Science Workshop- 3 Posts -AD/6/242/12- (CBPS)
- Applicants
must be holders of a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Higher
National
- Diploma
in Mechanical Engineering ( Production Option) plus five (5) years
experience at the level of Technologist Grade ABC or equivalent in a busy
manufacturing workshop.
- They
must be computer literate.
- They
should have practical experience in precision machine work, welding and
fabrication and sheet metal work.
- Those
who have experience in both mechanical production and equipment servicing
and maintenance will have an added advantage .
The successful candidate will be expected to participate in the
preparation and teaching of practical work for both undergraduate and
postgraduate students.
Librarian/Translator
Grade Def, Sub- Department Of French-1 Post- AD/6/243/12-(CHSS)
- Applicants
should be holders of at least a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent with
training in French/ English translation.
- They
must, in addition have training in Librarianship to the level of Assistant
Librarian or have professionally refereed experience in library
work.
- They
must be ready to undergo a test in translation.
- Please
note that the appointment is on a one year contract term renewable on
mutual agreement.
Technologist
Grade ABC (Agrometerology), Department Of - 1 Post -AD/6/244/12-
(CAVS)
- Applicants
must be holders of a KCSE C or its equivalent with credits in relevant
subjects and an Ordinary Diploma in Applied Biology or equivalent from a
recognized institution.
- They
must have at least three (3) years experience in an Agrometerology/ Plant
Physiology Laboratory.
- The
successful candidate will be expected to assist in practicals for the
undergraduate and postgraduate classes, maintain research equipments and
participate in research activities within the Department.
Technologist
Grade ABC, School Of The Arts & Design - 2 Posts
-AD/6/245/12- (CAE)
- Applicants
must be holders of a KCSE C or its equivalent with credits in relevant
subjects and an Ordinary Diploma in Design related fields from a
recognized institution.
- They
must have at least three (3) years experience in design, photography or
typography.
- They
should be computer literate.
- The
successful candidate will be expected to assist in practicals for the
undergraduate and postgraduate classes, maintain research equipment and
participate in research activities within the Department.
Registry Supervisor
Grade AB, Principal’s Office, College Of Education &
External Studies- 1 Post- AD/6/246/12- (CEES)
- Applicants
should be holders of atleast a KCSE C or equivalent with credits in
English and Mathematics or equivalent.
- They
must also hold a Certificate in Record Keeping or Office Management, KATC
final or ACNC or its equivalent.
- They
must also have at least three (3) years of service as Records Clerk IV or
equivalent.
- They
must be computer literate.
Assistant Secretary
Grade A-1 Post- Sports & Games Department
AD/6/247/12-(R&T)
Applicants should be holders of a KCSE C certificate or its equivalent qualification with a credit in English language.
They must in addition have passed the following subjects offered
by the Kenya National Examinations Council or equivalent examining body:-

Assistant Photographer
Grade IV, Department Of Educational Communication &
Technology-1 Post AD/6/248/11- (CEES)
- Applicants
should be holders of at least a KCE Division III or its equivalent
qualification.
- Candidates
who have experience in digital image processing software such as photo
shops and are computer literate will have an added advantage.
The successful candidate will be expected to operate digital
video cameras, digital photographic camera and also a wide range of
Audio/Visual equipment.
Driver
Grade III, Students’ Welfare Authority (SWA) - 1 Post -
AD/6/249/12- (SWA)
- Applicants
should be holders of at least a KCSE level of education or equivalent,
have a clean valid driving license classes ABCE and PSV, passed in
Occupational Test Grade III and have a certificate in First Aid
- They
must have at least three (3) years satisfactory previous driving
experience after obtaining license.

renewable on mutual agreement.
