Medical Officers:
REF: HRD/MO/05/12
Reporting to the Accident & Emergency Coordinator, the successful candidates will be responsible for the following amongst others:
- Management,
stabilization and treatment of patients.
- Providing
clinical support including admission, discharge or referral to the
appropriate consultants.
- Undertaking
clinical procedures in Accident & Emergency Department, Wards and
Clinics.
- ICU
rotation.
- Maintaining
patient confidentiality.
- Participating
in continuous medical education programmes.
- Participating
in major disaster management.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor
of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery.
- ACLS,
ATLS, PALS qualifications will be an added advantage.
- Registered
with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentist Board.
- Valid
practice licence.
- Two
(2) years post qualification experience in an emergency setting.
- Good
interpersonal skills.
- Ability
to make quick and solid decisions.
Radiologist:
REF: HRD/RAD/05/12
Reporting to the Chief Radiologist, the successful applicants will be responsible for the following amongst others:
- Evaluating
of diagnostic images to ensure they are of diagnostic value.
- Providing
reports for diagnostic images.
- CT
imaging and interpretation.
- Routine
and Doppler ultrasound imaging.
- Intravenous
administration of contrast material.
- Fluoroscopic
screening for special procedures.
- Providing
guidance to Radiographers and Ultrasonographers.
- Participating
in Hospital and Departmental CMEs.
- Contributing
to medical imaging research and writing articles for the
- Hospital’s
Proceedings Journal.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Masters
of Medicine in Radiology.
- At
least three (2) years experience in a busy Radiology Department.
- Proven
skills in emergency radiology.
- Excellent
interpersonal relations.
- Valid
registration and annual practice licences.
- Exposure
to computer aided reporting will be an added advantage.
Radiographers:
REF: HRD/RDR/05/12
Reporting to the Chief Radiographer, the successful applicants will be responsible for the following amongst others:
- Performing
radiological procedures.
- Producing
images of high diagnostic quality.
- Assisting
with diagnostic imaging services in Theatres.
- Providing
services in the Catheterisation Laboratory.
- Using
picture archiving & radiological information systems.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Diploma
or Degree in Diagnostic Radiography.
- Registration
with Radiation Protection Board.
- Valid
practice licence.
- Two
(2) years work experience.
- Detail
oriented.
- Good
interpersonal skills.
Pharmacists:
REF: HRD/P/05/12
Reporting to the Chief Pharmacist, the successful candidates will assist in providing efficient pharmaceutical services at the in and out patient pharmacies.
Particular Responsibilities Include:
- Checking
prescriptions for accuracy and suitability to ensure safe, economical and
rational use of drugs and pharmaceutical products.
- Providing
accurate drug information to patients and other users.
- Clinical
checks on all treatment sheets and prescriptions.
- Preparation
and labelling of extemporaneous preparations for both in/out patients.
- Participating
in chemotherapy dispensing and reconstitution in accordance with the
cytotoxic handling policy.
- Implementing
hospital policies on drug use and pharmacy standard operating procedures.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s
degree in Pharmacy.
- Registration
with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
- Possession
of valid annual practicing license.
- I
year work experience.
- Good
communication and interpersonal skills.
Electrical Technician:
REF: HRD/ET/05/12
Reporting to the Assistant Engineer (Plant), the successful candidate will be responsible for the following amongst others:
- Ensuring
proper functioning of all electrical powered equipment, appliances and
installations.
- Maintaining,
repairing and servicing electrical/electronic equipment including
electrical distribution boards, consumer units and control panels.
- Installing
and modifying electrical/electronic plant equipment.
- Conducting
electrical safety tests on all electrical equipment.
- Performing
preventive maintenance for critical electrical equipment and
installations.
- Maintaining
job cards for each assigned job.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Diploma
in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
- 2
years work experience in electrical equipment maintenance.
- Good
organisational, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
- Computer
literate.
Plant Technician:
REF: HRD/PT/05/12
Reporting to the Assistant Engineer (Plant), the successful
candidate will be responsible for the following amongst others:
- Troubleshooting,
repairing and maintaining Hospital mechanical systems.
- Maintaining
and repairing plumbing, gas and drainage installations.
- Ensuring
kitchen and laundry equipment, pumps, compressed air systems, pool
equipment, oil fired boilers and steam distribution and recovery systems
operate at optimal levels.
- Performing
preventative maintenance.
- Ensuring
safety of all mechanical equipment.
- Maintaining
job cards for each assigned job.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Diploma
in Mechanical Engineering (Plant option) from a recognized institution.
- 2
years work experience. Exposure to hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical
repairs will be an added advantage.
- Good
organisational, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
- Computer
literate.
Surveillance Officers:
REF: HRD/SO/05/12
Reporting to the Security Officer, the successful applicants will participate in ensuring security standards are maintained.
Particular Responsibilities Include:
- Safeguarding
the security of patients, visitors, staff and property of the Hospital.
- Observing,
receiving and obtaining information from the e-surveillance system.
- Ensuring
proper record keeping.
- Analyzing
information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve
problems.
- Liaising
with external parties in the event of emergencies.
- Inspecting
equipment, structures or materials to identify possible causes of security
lapses.
- Coordinating
the work and activities of the security foot patrol team.
- Reporting
and dispatching available security personnel to incident scenes and
continually monitoring the team’s performance at the scene.
- Conducting
investigations and ensuring that proper evidence is acquired, preserved,
corroborated and documented.
Qualifications and Experience: Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
- Diploma
in security management or any related field is an added advantage.
- 2
years work experience in a similar position in a reputable institution.
- Strong
investigative and analytical skills.
- Effective
