Industrial Area and a member of the Safal Group has the following Vacancy.
Position: Electrical Technician

Duties and Responsibilities:Position: Electrical Technician
Reports to: Electrical Engineer
This position provides statutory preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance services within Insteel Limited.
This position aims to provide high quality electrical maintenance services to the equipment and buildings within the premises.
- Responsible for
the efficient and effective day to day electrical maintenance of machinery
- Preparing and
implementing preventive maintenance and autonomous maintenance programmes
for all machinery, equipment and facilities.
- Maintenance and
repair of all plant equipments and other associated facilities.
- Establishing and
implementing standard operation and maintenance policies and procedures.
- Providing
schedule for normal operating periods, planned and forced outages,
schedule overhauls.
- Maintain
equipment files (maintenance records) logs and drawings.
- Supervision of
technical ‘’stand alone’’ projects within the plant.
- Provide
Electrical/Maintenance support of tube mills, galvanizing, cranes,
compressors, and shearing, slitting and finishing equipments to ensure
optimum availability for production.
- Promote and
ensure high standards of Health and Safety at workplace.
- Enhance
production of high quality products
Minimum Qualifications
- Degree/Diploma
in Engineering – Electrical/Electronic/Control or Mechatronics or any
other related field.
Experience:
- Knowledge and
experience in the operation PLC and Variable speed drives systems is
desirable
- Well developed
knowledge in Electrical/Electronic preventive maintenance.
- Knowledge of
Kaizen and practice the principles will be an added advantage
- 2-3 years
relevant experience in a busy organization

ability to carry out fault diagnostics on Electrical and Electronic
systems.
- Sound
interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team environment.
- Effective
communication skills both oral and written.
- Demonstrated
leadership capabilities.

skills in problem solving complex electrical and electronic problems.
