CMS Africa is an autonomous mission agency formed out of the Church Mission Society, (CMS) in 2008.Its goal is to be a sustainable Africa- wide mission agency that will not only envision, equip and mobilize the church for mission, but also help renew people’s mindsets and transform communities. CMS Africa seeks to empower churches and communities through mission tested tools in the following sectors:

Business as Mission (BAM), Youth, Women, and Families & Finance.

Job Purpose
The overall purpose of this position is to offer support to the Human Resources department and
 
administrative support to all other departments.

HR Duties:
Maintenance and updating employee records and other HR records.
Provide support to the recruitment and selection processes; posting job advertisements,
coordinating interviews and compiling necessary documentation on job candidates.
Placement of preferred candidates, and dealing with associated administration e.g. reference
checks, contracts of employment, organizing work stations, setting up personnel files, starter packs, orientation, etc.
Preparing and updating job descriptions for all the jobs in the organization.

Leave management.
Reviewing and updating human resources policies/HR manual and strategies.
Preparing and administering the appraisal systems.
Staff training and development track record.

Administrative Duties include:
Office and facilities management.
Make and receive calls, handling of all mail correspondence
Transport coordination and fleet management
Operations and other logistical requirements for CMS Africa office
Coordinate travel-ticket booking and visa applications.
Arrange events and meetings and perform other related duties as required

Minimum Criteria:
Diploma Human Resources Management course
At least two years HR and Administration experience
Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing with strong ability to create the right impression
Computer skills in Ms Word and Excel
Excellent interpersonal skills and team work ability
Ability to accurately record information
Great attention to detail; self starter
High degree of confidentiality, honesty, integrity
A driving license will be an added advantage
