Akili Minerals Services Ltd is a young and rapidly growing
mineral exploration services and drilling company based in Nairobi, Kenya. The
company currently operates 5 core-drilling rigs, and a fleet of various
vehicles, mainly located at project sites in Kenya and East Africa.
AMS is currently looking for a qualified and experienced mechanical engineer to:
•Plan and manage the maintenance and repairs of the machines and vehicles;
•Supervise and train the company’s mechanics;
•Rapidly resolve breakdowns;
•Ensure maximum availability of drilling rigs and vehicles;AMS is currently looking for a qualified and experienced mechanical engineer to:

•Supervise and train the company’s mechanics;
•Rapidly resolve breakdowns;
•Manage spares, consumables and tools (inventory and procurement)
•Identify, recommend and manage external resources where necessary.
The suitable candidate will have the following qualities:
•Excellent planning and management skills;
•Good communication skills;
•IT literate;
•Superior problem solving and diagnosing skills;
•Ability to find rapidly necessary information;
•Hands on, lead by example.
Qualification and experience:
•BSc Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
•10 years experience in fleet / maintenance management.
•Experience in diesel engines and a hydraulic system is mandatory.
•Experience in petrol engines, auto-electrics an added advantage.
