Our Kenyan client is one of the leading players in the
pharmaceutical industry in East Africa. In line with their growth strategy, the
organization seeks to recruit a Finance Manager who will head the department.
The position will report to the Director.
Responsibilities
Lead the strategic financial planning process through development of budgets plans including provision of operational, capital expenditure and cash flow projections;
Contribute to the implementation of company strategic policies
together with other department heads;Responsibilities

Evaluate, arrange, and execute sourcing of working capital and capital expenditure required by the business;
Oversee timely and accurate preparation of monthly management and periodical financial reports;
Ensure relevant internal financial control systems are in place in all accounting and financial related functions in the company;
Develop and implement risk management policies;
Facilitate negotiations with banks and manage various banking agreements and relationships;
Ensure accurate and timely administration of all tax and statutory compliance issues including licenses and audits by various bodies;
Provide support for administration of staff provident fund scheme;
Undertake capital expenditure and disposal evaluation appraisals for directors’ decision;
Develop and maintain good business liaison with consultants, corporate membership bodies and government departments;
Manage the finance department by establishing and implementing department goals and provide guidance and training to the finance team;
Requirements
Business degree majoring in Finance or Accounting with a professional accounting qualification such as CPA or ACCA.
Masters degree in accounting or finance and membership to a professional body e.g. ICPAK or ACCA.
Minimum of 5 years relevant and progressive experience in financial planning and execution.
Experience working in a manufacturing entity at a similar level will be an added advantage.
Sound knowledge of financial management and accounting procedures.
Proven analytical skills-ability to interpret or generate all types of financial data and financial reports, statements, and financial modeling and business plans.
Demonstrable leadership ability with good interpersonal skills.
Excellent planning and organizing skills.
