Motor Assessors (4 positions)
The Motor assessor’s job will be to assess insured motor vehicles accident
damage. Their work will be characterized by integrity, accuracy and attention
to detail, with ability to work under minimum supervision, all with the
intention of being part of a team that works effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out motor
assessment and re-inspection of repaired motor vehicles.
Preparation of assessment and re-inspection reports.
Negotiate repair costs with garage owners.
Analysis of assessment reports from external assessors and give recommendations.
Qualifications and Competencies
Diploma course in Mechanical Engineering or related course from a recognized institution.
Minimum 2 years progressive hands on experience in motor assessment.
Certificate of Proficiency in insurance from the College of Insurance, preferably motor chapter subject.
Working experience in motor insurance industry is compulsory.
Must have clear understanding of the market prices of spare parts for various makes of vehicles.
Possess strong interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills both in writing and verbal presentation.
Ability to work independently is a must, with an energetic “can do” attitude.
Excellent time management skills with ability to appreciate the urgency of tasks.
Polished computer skills (MS Office Suite)
