Head of Programs. Micro Finance Jobs.

Our client is the largest micro-financing institution that has over the years demonstrated along term commitment to eradication of poverty. It reinforces its strategy to implement its mandate by empowering women in human rights, maternal health and financial education through advocacy, training and creating awareness countrywide.

The organization is looking to recruit a self driven and dynamic person for the position of Head of Programs.
 
The position holder will report to the Chief Executive Officer and will be responsible for research, advocacy, fundraising, training and building partnerships. He/she will oversee the entire program through developing strategies aimed at attaining the goals and objectives that are administered by the organization.
Key Responsibilities

* Develop strategies aimed at empowering women in human rights, maternal health and financial education.
* Develop and implement all guidelines and policies with the purpose of ensuring compliance with all government regulations, as well as maintaining alignment with the organization's mission.
* Develop relationships for the development of the organization, prepare proposals to secure funds, donations and grants as well as coordinate resource allocation.
* Identify programs that are in line with the institutions strategy, core values and policies for research and implementation.
* Develop an annual budget and operating plan to support the program.
* Monitor the program activities on a regular basis and conduct an annual evaluation according to the program evaluation framework.
* Ensure that all relevant reports to management, donors and other stake holders are within acceptable standards and time frames.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Must have a first degree in Social Sciences from a recognized University and a Masters in any of the following disciplines – Anthropology or Sociology, or Community development. 
* A minimum of 10 years experience in a non-governmental organization, 3 of which must be in senior management position and responsibility.
* A community mobilizer with experience in fundraising, proposal writing and resource management including grants.
* In depth understanding and knowledge of gender issues stipulated by the constitution.
* Passionate about women empowerment.
* Excellent leadership skills.
* A good communicator (both written and verbal).
* Ability to build strong partnerships.
