Sales and Marketing Manager (salary range 50,000 per month + incentives)
This is a management role within key responsibilities including business development management. The Sales & Marketing Manager’s role will include the following responsibilities:
Planning, coordinating and implementing sales, marketing and business development activities to meet the company’s revenue and profitability targetsDevelop and manage marketing and communication tools for existing and new clients (including the company website, print communication and advertising).
Develop new business opportunities and maximize business opportunities with existing clients
Pro-actively source for new clients and establish communication and relationships with those businesses
Managing and nurturing relationships with the company’s existing client base and actively pursuing new business from the local and international market
Attending forums and events to exhibit the company’s products e.g. Industry Trade Fairs
Communicating with the customers, managing the customer encounter, handling complaints and conflicts, and continuously improving customer relations.
Liaising with travel partners, including airlines and hotels, to manage bookings and schedules
Complete proposals and tender documentation
Proactively identify new business opportunities and ways of expanding the product offerings
Minimum Criteria:
Advanced qualifications in Sales and/or Marketing
Minimum 3 years sales or business development experience in travel, hospitality or services industry with proven track record of results and achievement
A strong appreciation of the dynamics and sensitivities of the travel industry.
High degree of honesty and integrity
Well developed client relationship management skills with ability to resolve sensitive complaints
Excellent and effective communications skills, both orally and in writing with strong ability to create the right impression with clients
Ability to take charge and control over varied situations that emerge in this sensitive environment and ‘think on their feet’ for solutions to problems
Excellent interpersonal skills and strong personal impact to command respect with internal and external customers or stakeholders
Must possess proposal and report writing skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Access
Strong work ethic and self- drive to deliver results under minimum supervision
High commercial acumen and self confidence
Cross-cultural awareness and sensitivity
Should be flexible and highly mobile to undertake field sales and business development activities
Willingness to work for 6 days in a week i.e. Monday to Friday 8 am to 5pm and Saturday 9am – 1pm
