Job Details

Specific Duties
  • ·         Listening to customer requirements and presenting appropriately to make a sale;
  • ·         Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers in person, and via telephone calls, emails and conducting customer visits.

  • ·         Arranging meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business;
  • ·         Acting as a contact between the company and its existing and potential markets;
  • ·         Planning, implementing and representing the organization at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations;
  • ·         Negotiating on price and costs, delivery and specifications with buyers
  • ·         Advising and implementing on forthcoming product developments and discussing special promotions; 
  • ·         Reviewing  own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets;
  • ·         Gaining a clear understanding of customers' businesses and requirements;
  • ·         Making accurate, rapid cost calculations, and providing customers with quotations;
  • ·         Attending team meeting and sharing best practice with colleagues.
  • ·         Managing, training and supervising staff
  • ·         Analyzing previous season's sales and reporting on the current season's lines;
  • ·         Develop and implement brand marketing activities to ensure sales of company products within the target market.
  • ·         Provide weekly sales and marketing reports/ daily sales reports
  • ·         Assisting in delivering of approved sales and marketing strategies.
  • ·         Managing marketing materials, production, including leaflets, flyers and posters. This involves proofreading and writing, liaising with printers and designers.
  • ·         Implementing marketing research, brand awareness, customer surveys, and analyze demands of the customers.
  • ·         Analyzing product and market pricing.
  • ·         Maintaining and updating mail database and measuring marketing campaigns.
  • ·         Monitoring the activities of competitors.

  • JOB SPECIFICATIONS
        Academic qualifications
        Degree in Marketing or equivalent; MBA is preferred

          Professional qualifications
·         Diploma in marketing e.g  MSK, CIM
·         Have a Food and beverage back ground

        Level of experience
·         Experience in the hospitality and food service industry in a function of Marketing
·         3-5 years experience in sales and marketing.

      Competencies
Ability to operate on an ERP system and graphic design skills is a huge advantage.

  • ·         Ability to prospect for new business
  • ·         Have a valid driving license.
  • ·         Should be aware of financial, and markets implications.
  • ·         Identify segments in the market, potential markets, and niches.

  •         Set sales  targets
  •          Monitoring performance of sales.

NB; Flexibility to travel at short notices within Nairobi and any other regions in Kenya if necessary, the candidate should hold a valid driving licence.
