Marketing Executive Job in Nairobi Kenya

Summary:     

This role will report to Head of Marketing and Fundraising and will primarily contribute to the company’s fundraising objective through managing the membership recruitment process in a manner that ensures increased new memberships and renewals.
Description:    
 

i.       Prepare operational plans for membership growth based on the strategic plan; including setting targets, mapping recruitment activities.

ii.     Draw up revenue and expenditure budgets for the membership recruitment activities and continuously monitor to ensure compliance.

iii.   Set targets for the Sales Executives and monitor performance: this entails receiving periodic (weekly) sales reports and reviewing this against targets; addressing performance gaps e.g. training as necessary, assisting with planning; ensuring submission of new applications for processing; working out incentives (commissions, etc) with the approval of the supervisor.

iv.   As and when necessary, accompany Sales Executives to sales presentations and assist with closing the sale especially for large corporations. 

v.     Implement membership recruitment activities as per plan; this will include planning and executing membership drives and member activities aimed at creating awareness, boosting sales and raising the Society’s profile.

vi.   Ensure there is adequate supply of membership information including flyers, application forms, etc to the Sales Executives and other key recruitment locations.

vii. With the guidance of the Head of Marketing and Fundraising, develop and implement a membership retention programme and monitor its effectiveness.

viii.Continuously explore opportunities for maximization of membership growth with minimum investments such as partnerships with educational institutions, like minded clubs, etc.

ix.   Collect information on customer needs from existing and potential members, comments/complaints from members, informal research etc and make recommendations/proposals to address them; this may lead to new product development

x.     Prepare periodic reports such as new membership recruitment reports, attrition reports, trend analysis required for decision making and reporting.

Requirements:     

·         Business Degree from a recognized university with a Diploma in Sales and or Marketing

·         At least 2 years experience in sales

·         Strong supervisory, relationship building and negotiation skills

·         Excellent planning and organising skills

·         Good customer service, selling and presentation skills

·         Self-drive, initiative and innovation
