Umeme wishes to recruit a Contracts Manager
to be stationed in Uganda
• Umeme has a Significant planned program-me offer investment
over the coming years w many significant
commas for Electricity Asset construction
• To manage this overall programme Umeme wishes to
recruit a Contracts Manager
The Role
• Monitoring of construction contracts to ensure
compliance with plans and specifications.
• Preparation contracts, agreements and management
reports in Copex environment in accordance with
company-policies and procedures and adapted where
necessary to be project specific.
• Supporting the contracting and procurement
function including project planning, specification review,
preparation of requests for quotes and proposals, and
co-ordination and preparation of addendums.
• Co-coordinating pre-bid and pre-a word conferences and
bid openings, assists in the documents, the bid
evaluations, and monitors contract performance through
contract dose-out
The Person
Our new Contracts Manager will;
• Be a professionally qualified e/~cal engineer with
I 0 years working experience
• Have worked as an Contracts Manager for a
minimum of 5 years for an organization of similar scale
to Umeme
• Have a track record in managing in a Safety focused
environment
• Be adaptive and ~flexible and with the temperament to •
cope with a business in the midst of extensive change
• Be team focused while having the inner drive and
capacity to go for results
• Be committed to people development and succession
planning
The Package
• A two year contract the potential for extension
• Excellent salary commensurate experience and a
good overall benefits package
