Mwananchi Communications Limited publishers of leading Tanzania newspapers, Mwananchi, Mwananchi Jumapili, Mwanaspoti, The Citizen and Sunday Citizen and a subsidiary of the Nation media Group are looking for motivated and highly experienced individuals to fill the position of Sales Manager, based in Dar es Salaam Tanzania.
Key responsibilities:
· Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Manager, key responsibilities will be to:
· Plan and manage achievable sales targets of adverts in the newspapers;
· Prepare budgets and performance reports for the section;
· Lead and supervise the sales team;
· Supervise production of advertisements;
· Ensure timely collection of debts from clients;
· Develop strategies for combating market competition;
· Communicate and harmonize with clients;
· Any other assignments as may be assigned by the Sales and Marketing Manager.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
· Degree/Advanced Diploma in Business Administration majoring in Marketing/Sales Management from a reputable University or other higher learning institution;
· Excellent Communication Skills in both Swahili and English;
· 5 years working experience in the Media or in the FMCG industry.
